Real-life networking is still key to marketing your brand, business, and organization.
In October, Cornbread E
d Morita traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada for the BlogWorld and New Media Expo where he attended “TechKaraoke Shenanigans” at the Hilton Las Vegas. He swooned social media maven, Sugar Jones with his rendition of Billy Paul’s “Mrs. Jones” which then led to him meeting, Events and Business Development Director of Mashable and Co-Founder of TechKaraoke™, Brett Petersel.
With the official christening of EdMo as the TechKaraoke™ dude of Hawaii, Grilled Cornbread, LLP hosted it’s first event, Fresh From the Grill: TechKaraoke Party to wrap up [re]Think: Hawaii and TEDxHonolulu.
It was an energized crowd that overflowed into the lobby of Karaoke Hut with TEDxHonolulu speaker, Go Green Initiative’s Jill Buck lending her vocals to Randy Travis’ Forever and Ever, Amen; Eric Nakagawa of ADAM and co-creator of Hawaii’s most popular web meme evar taking the breath away from Hawaii’s nom, nom, nom fan Laurie Cicotello, Genkii CEO Ken Brady is the master of alternative rock songs, and the Backstreet Boys duet of Cornbread’s Kaeo Kepani and Zen Lao are just a rain drop of the events of that night. Keep in mind, as much as everyone was having fun singing their favorite songs, projects were being created and business deals were being closed.
