Neenz Faleafine

Neenz FaleafineBred, born, and raised in Hawaii, L.P. “Neenz” Faleafine is the Chief Evangelist of leading news aggregation site, Alltop; Founder of media marketing company, Pono Media; Founding Partner of interactive media publishing company, Entrepreneurs-Wanted.org and a contributing writer for Holy Kaw!. Often called an Ambassador of Aloha, Neenz is also the Executive Editor for online magazine, Hawaii Traditions and a writer for the official blog of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau — So Much More Hawaii. When she’s not writing or consulting; Neenz is speaking at social and new media conferences and entrepreneurial events encouraging audiences to create their own opportunities. Neenz is also the Co-organizer of [re]Think: Hawaii and TEDxHonolulu conferences.

But really, who is NEENZ?

According to Guy Kawasaki she’s, “A blogging Samoan… the shoulders upon which Alltop is being built right now I don’t know where we would be without Neenz. She’s a very intelligent person, and that counts for everything with me. And also, she’s willing to grind it out. There are a lot of smart people who are lazy. If you combine a person who is smart and willing to grind it out, that’s a winning combination.”

Here’s what her 5-year-old son Jayden had to say, “Neenz is an Alltop worker. She’s smart about web sites and meetings. She’s Mufasa and I’m Simba, but she’s a girl, not a boy, but she can still be Mufasa, but I don’t want to be Nala.”

If you ask her Mom she’d say, “Neenz is my number two daughter, and it’s not Neenz it’s Nina, well actually it’s Penina — it’s Samoan for precious jewel or pearl. She’s the only one of my children with a Samoan name, but it’s actually my number three daughter that is so Samoan. Oh, and my grand daughter Maiyah, she’s what, wait a minute now let me see…if I’m 75% Hawaiian, wait am I? Well, let’s back up a little more, you see my Grandmother was a twin, there were girls, twin girls and my Grandfather he wasn’t a twin, but twins have nothing to do with me being Hawaiian or Nina. But, my point is know your family history and never mind my business.”

If you ask the lady who was trying to get to the sidewalk at the 7-11 in Nuuanu she’d say, “I don’t know who the hell Neenz is, but this big blogging Samoan is in my way.”

So, in summary Neenz is a Samoan blogger who gets in the way.
